The other day Cy and I decided to spend the whole day together doing fun things. We keep saying we are going to do this before the baby comes, and then every time we try to take a Saturday just for fun, we end up finding a million things we need to get done. Having a spontaneous fun day worked a lot better. We slept in, cooked some breakfast, and played our favorite new game, Winner's Circle, while we ate. Then we drove over to Sullivan's Island to go for a morning walk on the beach. (On the way, we stopped at Target so I could use their bathroom and while in there, I scored a sweet new purse, a couple of tank tops, and Sherlock Holmes on blu-ray.)
The beach was nice - it was in the upper 70's with a nice breeze, and not too crowded yet. We strolled around for a while, then headed back home to get some lunch. We watched a couple of episodes of season 2 of Charmed (the old TV show we are currently catching up on), played a few more rounds of Winner's Circle, then made some smoothies and drank them while going on a long walk through our neighborhood. After that, we chilled until dinner and then watched Sherlock Holmes and went to bed early (something we are quite fond of these days). We had a great day - it was incredibly relaxing, and really nice to get a break from how hectic things have been preparing for the baby. Hopefully we are re-energized and ready to welcome her now!
